Festival Together is a mobile app that helps friend groups coordinate their festival schedules. This policy explains exactly what information we collect, why, and what we do not collect.
None of this data is linked to your real identity. No email address, phone number, or account credentials are required.
When you upload screenshots of a festival schedule, we send those images to Anthropic’s Claude AI to extract artist names, stages, and set times. We do not store your screenshots. Images are processed in memory and discarded immediately after parsing. Only the extracted schedule data (artist names, times, stages) is saved.
Anthropic receives images solely for this parsing purpose. See Anthropic’s Privacy Policy for how they handle data.
We request read access to your photo library so you can select schedule screenshots to upload. We do not read, scan, or access any photos other than the ones you explicitly select and upload.
Before you join a group, we temporarily record your IP address to prevent automated abuse of the invite system. This record is not linked to your name or account and is deleted after a short time window.
When you create or join a group, we generate a random session token to keep you logged in. This token is stored on your device and on our server. It is not tied to an email address, phone number, or any personal identifier.
Your display name, color chip, and schedule preferences are visible to other members of your group. They are not visible to users outside your group.
Your data is retained until you leave or delete your account, at which point your name, preferences, and session are deleted from our servers. You can do this at any time from within the app.
Festival Together is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
